The Hilton

Munich City

The Location

Located directly at the S-Bahn station Rosenheimer Platz, the Hilton Munich City is the ideal home base for a city trip in Munich.

From the train station there’s an elevator to the lobby of the hotel, so you don’t even have to step outside.

The airport is only 35 minutes away and downtown is within walking distance. Central station with its endless possibilities to explore the area around Munich can be reached within 12 minutes via S-Bahn.

It’s not the nearest location to visit the Oktoberfest, but guests usually enjoy that the hotel is in a calmer area and not far from the major attractions of the Bavarian capital.

Right around the corner to the hotel, you can find the famous Gasteig, which is a center for culture and education.

The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra often performs classical concerts at Gasteig, which are very popular.

Also just a short walk away from the Hilton Munich City is the worlds largest museum of technology and science: The Deutsches Museum.

The Rooms

All rooms are decorated in cool, calm tones and offer a comfortable sleeping area with large windows, a chaise longue, flatscreen TV, free WiFi and a work space.

In the Executive Rooms you can fall asleep in a king sized bed and refresh in a minimalistic designed bathroom with walk-in shower.

The Juliet Rose Bar

The atmosphere is cozy, unconventional and easy, not the average hotel-bar feeling you might expect.

If you’re not having breakfast at the Executive Lounge or at the restaurant you can also come over to the wonderful Juliet Rose Bar, next to the lobby entrance of the hotel. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks besides their legendary cocktails and drinks. The atmosphere is cozy, unconventional and easy, not the average hotel-bar feeling you might expect.

The food, especially the evening menu is super delicious and offers also very nice vegetarian options (besides the dishes are more than instagramable).

But what the Juliet Rose Bar actually stands for is their unique ‚from root to fruit’ bar concept. The menu is split into 4 categories relating to the botanical properties of the rose such as: woody, herbal, floral and fruity. It’s really just that simple: Have a seat at the bar, tell the barkeeper what kind of drinks you usually like and he will mix you the best cocktails you ever had.

One of the most magnificent ones we tried was the ‚Time Traveller‘. The drink is served in a globe tumbler and is supposed to take you in other spheres. Try this or the signature drink: ‚Mable Walnut Old Fashioned‘, which comes in a smoked wooden mug. On Fridays and Saturdays there’s a live DJ playing light house and electronic music, just to make your evening with friends even better. The bar is also very popular around citizens, cause it’s near downtown and some nice clubs in Munich.

All in all the Hilton Munich City is a beautiful and very modern hotel to stay at and explore the Bavarian capital. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are perfect to relax. After the renovation the hotel is more than just a good option to spend the night, it’s a place to meet new people or friends, enjoy a good time, have some drinks at the bar, or recreate after a long day exploring the city.
